MacOS the Recents folder typically displays files that have been recently accessed, regardless of their length or word count. However, it’s possible that the folder is not showing documents with 1000 words because of a sorting or filtering option.
Here are a few things you can try:
Check the sorting options: Make sure the Recents folder is sorted by “Date Modified” or “Date Accessed” so that the most recently accessed files are at the top of the list.
Reset the folder view: Sometimes, a folder’s view settings can get changed accidentally. To reset the folder view to its default settings, go to the View tab in the File Explorer menu, and click on “Reset View.”
Clear the file history: If the Recents folder is not showing the files you expect to see, it’s possible that the file history has been cleared. To enable file history, go to Settings > Update & Security > Backup > Add a drive, and select the drive where you want to store your file history.
Use the search function: If you’re having trouble finding a specific document in the Recents folder, try using the search function in File Explorer. You can search for the document by name, keyword, or file type.
