Mac Red dot removal – there are a few things you can try:
Check for updates: Sometimes the red dot appears when there are software updates available. To check for updates, click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen, then select “System Preferences” and “Software Update.”
Check each preference pane: Make sure to check each preference pane in System Preferences to see if there are any unread notifications. To do this, open System Preferences and click on each icon to see if there are any notifications.
Restart your Mac: Sometimes, restarting your Mac can fix issues like this. Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen, then select “Restart.”
Clear the notification cache: You can try clearing the notification cache by following these steps:
a. Quit System Preferences.
b. Open the Finder and press Shift + Command + G.
c. In the “Go to the folder” field, type in “~/Library/Caches”.
d. Find the “com.apple.preferencepanes.cache” file and delete it.
e. Restart your Mac and check if the red dot has disappeared.
Reset System Preferences: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting System Preferences to its default settings. To do this, follow these steps:

b. Open the Finder and press Shift + Command + G.
c. In the “Go to the folder” field, type in “~/Library/Preferences”.
